Fred Phipps is returning to lead the 2008 Intermidiate American team. Fred Phipps has been an integral part of the BBGC Football program for over 11 years. Serving as both a board member, Assistant coach, Head coach, and the BBGC football commissioner for the past 3 years. Phipps is currently the Director of Operations of the Capital Beltway League. Phipps coaching experience also includes 2 years assistant coach with Bowie High School and has been the Offensive coordinator for the DC Generals Police and Fire semi-pro team.

Fred Phipps is a 13 year DC fire fighter assigned to Rescue Company 3 in Anacostia. He and his wife have had 5 children participate in the BBGC program.
